The need for something different was paramount but without diminishing the brand.
The Tactix business has seen significant growth over the last few years having demonstrated their unique approach to the engineering and transportation sector. Their continued growth has allowed them to pitch for bigger projects and therefore they needed to align their brand and visual communications to match these high calibre projects and help them stand out from their competitors.
The Tactix approach has always been to challenge the market and offer an alternative solution. Often seen as a reserved visual space, the need for something different was paramount but without diminishing the brand and its professionalism and expert knowledge.
Developing a visual style that could flex across different platforms and deliverables.
We started by taking an internal brand audit of all internal and external visual collateral. A full review of the visual identity, sub-brand assets, proposals, tenders and compliance documentation as well as internal comms and digital deliverables was undertaken within this process.
The finding results required a system of templates and styles to assist internal documentation to keep the brand consistent and at a standard that met the calibre of their target audience. The need to simplify the logo and colour palette were obvious as well as developing a visual style that could flex across different platforms and deliverables.
A refreshed and refine look to reflect the business and its aspirations.
Our goal was to build on the existing brand and develop a refreshed and refine look to reflect the business and its aspirations. We started with a simple evolution of the existing logo to maintain some of the brands’ equity but simplifying the mark to allow it to flex between different types of platforms with a digital first approach.
We then developed a working solution that would fit every aspect of the business in its brand communications. This entailed developing a visual style that was born from the logo itself. Working from the angled elements of the logo we developed a layered panel system which reflected how the business delivered it solutions across the cross platform of services.
We then created templates in various formats to suit the internal & external comms across the business allowing for a consistent look and tone to be shown to their customers at all times. This approach has led to positive feedback from their clients and helped them further enhance the brand overall.
We are currently developing the new website to align and demonstrate these business capabilities and expert knowledge. We hope to bring some exciting news on this in the near future.
